The mindset at AXVECO is about performing at the highest level at all times and placing the interests of the client first. This also applies to the protection of your privacy. This statement is related to the processing of data of clients, prospects and other interested persons for marketing purposes as well as the processing of personal data. This policy reveals how AXVECO obtains personal data, which personal data AXVECO processes and for which purposes, and which rights you can exercise under the General Data Protection Regulation. Personal data that has been obtained is processed in accordance with the prevailing privacy legislation. Personal data is only processed in the manner described in this statement.

This privacy statement is meant for all persons whose personal data are processed by AXVECO for marketing purposes. Such persons may include:

  • clients of AXVECO;
  • prospects and other business contacts of AXVECO;
  • persons who have subscribed to newsletters, white papers and invitations from AXVECO.

Website and social media

Personal data obtained via this website are processed in accordance with current privacy regulations, and are only used as described in this statement.

2. Why and how we acquire your data

AXVECO obtains your personal data from:

  • you personally:
    • you furnished your personal data to AXVECO for the purpose of a (potential) work agreement;
    • you filled in your personal data on a contact form or web form;
    • you furnished your contact details via business cards during introductory meetings, events, congresses, etc.
  • public sources such as LinkedIn or the website of the organisation where you are currently employed.

3. Why and how we process your personal data

AXVECO processes your personal data for communication and marketing purposes, to improve our website, and for social media activities.  Your personal data are processed on the basis of:

  • your consent;
  • the legitimate interest of AXVECO to send you newsletters, white papers and invitations, to improve its product and service information and to conduct direct marketing campaigns.

We endeavour to only inform you about the developments in topics that are relevant for you, and significant developments within AXVECO. In addition, we use the information that we receive from you to better understand your preferences and wishes and to improve our digital notices and propositions.

4. Cookies

To optimise visits to axveco.com we keep record of anonymous user statistics, to which end cookies are used.  Apart from that, cookies are used so you can make direct use of our social media. Under the settings, you can indicate whether you allow cookies or not.  You only have to do this once (until you delete your temporary files).

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file embedded in your hard drive by the server of the site you are visiting. The data they collect cannot be traced back to an individual person and do not contain personal data. We anonymise all IP addresses. There are 3 types of cookies:

Necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the proper functioning of the website, for example someone’s cookie settings. These cookies are not shared with third parties.

Analysis cookies

These cookies are used to analyse the website and its statistics which enables us to optimise our website. To this end we use the programme Google Analytics. Google can provide third parties with this information if Google is required to do so by law, or if these third parties process this information on behalf of Google. We cannot influence this. We did not give Google permission to share this information.

Social media plug ins

These are cookies that are placed on our website by third parties.  In our case, these parties are: Twitter, LinkedIn, MailChimp and YouTube (Google). These cookies enable the direct sharing of messages on these social media. We cannot influence how Twitter, LinkedIn, MailChimp and YouTube (Google) deal with the information they obtained.  For further information, we refer to the privacy statements of Twitter, LinkedIn, MailChimp and Google.

5. Retention period

Your personal data is processed up until the moment that you inform AXVECO that you no longer wish to receive any digital notices and/or AXVECO stops sending you newsletters, white papers, invitations to events or other digital mailings.

Your personal data will be erased if:

  • it appears that your email address is no longer in use (for example when error messages are received);
  • the consent based on which your personal data is processed and/or stored is withdrawn by you;
  • the legitimate interest based on which your personal data is processed, expires because for example:
    • your company ceases to exist;
    • you have not had any contact with AXVECO for a period of 5 years.

6. Your rights

At the end of each digital mailing that you receive from AXVECO, you can always change your mailing preferences via the ‘unsubscribe’ or ‘subscribe’ link. In short, you can always withdraw your consent. In addition, you are entitled to request AXVECO to allow you to inspect your personal data and/or to correct it, to make additions, to erase it or to hide it, and/or to restrict it, and/or to provide your personal data in a structured, standard and machine-readable format. In so far as your personal data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest, you are entitled to object to this processing.

Finally, you are entitled to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

7. Your personal data and third parties

AXVECO does not share your personal data with third parties. AXVECO may organise an activity with another party. In that case, only relevant contact details are shared as far as organising the activity requires.

8. Protection of your personal data

AXVECO has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing.

9. Changes to this privacy statement

AXVECO reserves the right and is entitled to change this privacy statement at any time and for any reason whatsoever. It goes without saying that we remain within the limits of the privacy regulations. The most recent version of our privacy statement is available on the website www.axveco.com. In the event of far-reaching changes to this privacy statement, we will notify you about these changes.
