As Digital Transformation Manager, I have spent the last twenty years inspiring and guiding countless organizations as they move into the ‘new world’.
Digital Transformation goes far beyond merely implementing new technology. It entails adopting new working processes and a new culture. I really enjoy acting as the guide during this transformation, which is likely to involve a range of different aspects including the ‘agile’ methodology, redesigning the enterprise architecture and digital infrastructure, implementing new cyber security arrangements and ushering in a new corporate culture. I help the organization prepare: the transition can only proceed as quickly as the people within the organization are willing to embrace change.
I am exciting by all new technologies, and of course the new opportunities they create. I am fascinated by developments such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, 3D printing, robots and even the ‘softer’ aspects such as ‘21st century skills’.
I am often invited to speak about major developments, either to small interactive groups or larger audiences. Blockchain, and the potential role it will play within an organization, is currently a ‘hot topic’.
Everyone, from students to startups and established companies, seems to have the same question: “what must we do in order to prepare for the future?” I enjoy helping them find the answer.
